About Micki P

For Micki Pickering, fundraising isn't just a profession, it's a lifelong passion.

Since volunteering for her first nonprofit committee at just 10 years old, Micki has dedicated her life to helping organizations create meaningful impact. With more than 25 years in the event industry and over a decade as a professional benefit auctioneer, speaker, emcee, and fundraising strategist, she has helped nonprofits across the country raise millions of dollars while building stronger donor, sponsor, and community relationships.

Known for her contagious energy, relationship-driven approach, and ability to activate a room, Micki has become one of Austin's most sought-after benefit auctioneers and fundraising professionals.

​In 2025, she became the first woman in the 30-year history of the prestigious Celebrity Fight Night event to serve as the lead auctioneer—an achievement that reflects both her expertise and her impact within the industry.
​
​Whether she's leading a paddle raise, speaking from a stage, consulting with nonprofit leaders, or helping organizations develop fundraising strategies, Micki believes the most successful organizations aren't built on transactions, they're built on relationships.

​Her mission is simple: help organizations inspire generosity, strengthen connections, and create lasting impact. 

The History of Micki P Enterprises

March 2018 - Micki quit her job as a professional event planner to pursue her passion.

After over a decade as a professional event producer. Micki spent the first part of her career planning weddings and golf tournaments at The Hills of Lakeway Country Club, while on the side co-managing the Lone Star Farmers Market. In 2015 she took a role as Event Logistics Manager for George P. Johnson, an international marketing agency and began planning corporate events. She was retained exclusively to the IBM Cloud team. Despite her love for the event world, she knew there was something bigger calling for her. So, in the fall of 2017, she took the leap and bet on herself. With only a hope to find her passion, she went on her journey. 

Finding My Passion

September 2018 - Micki went to Auction School

It did not take Micki long to figure out that becoming a Benefit Auctioneer was her next calling. With so many serendipitous meetings and relationships building, the next path was clear. By mid-summer she was signed up for Auction School, and in the fall of 2018, Micki attended and graduated from America's Auction Academy and began her official training towards her Auctioneer license.

March 2019 - Micki got her license and launched 
​Hoot AuctionsHoot Auctions

With school complete, and her Auctioneer License test passed. Now known as Micki P Enterprises, Hoot Auctions is the name that started it all. Named after her Nana's love of owls and giving heart, on March 14th, 2019 Hoot Auctions, LLC was born, and Micki officially began business. 

Growing Year Over Year

August 2024 - Hoot Auctions re-brands to Micki P Enterprises

After 5 years in business, it was time for a re-brand. With more services being added and offered, the new name came in place. Micki P Enterprises launched with a re-brand party in the Fall of 2024.

Summer 2026 - New Website - Expanded Offerings

Micki P Enterprises continues to grow, with the expanded offerings of speaker services and education, the website was re-vamped and a brand new version launched in June 2026 with new offerings.
